Left Glendora in 1963. Bob's Big Boy for ever! Slept on the sidewalk
waiting for the Rose Parade. Heard this loud unmuffled noise, and around
the corner rumbles this A/gasser that does a block long burnout. We
followed it around the far corner just in time to see the swinging doors
close on an old single car garage. Cops where baffled.

Aaahhh! Great memories of Colorado Blvd. and Fair Oaks Ave. Great story,
Brad.

I did 2 semesters at PCC in '64-'65 -- Bob's Big Boy was right next door. I
took profuse advantage of this fortunate piece of geographical location. My
whole family used to come up from So. Pasa. every New Year's Eve to help
decorate the floats and hit all of the coffee shops -- never knew WHAT you'd
stumble onto. We never stayed to watch the parade, though -- that was for
the tourists.

Also, the Icehouse was big at that time for dinner theatre -- very cool.
However, and in spite of many good memories growing up in the area, I never
really cared for the LA area that much and was glad to get out of there when
I did -- never looked back!
