You certainly do have your ethnic groups confused. Hillbillies,
Yellow cowards. And here you are ragging on some other poster for
expressing crude prejudices. Look at your self in the

Whatever you said, the reaction that was delivered was overkill. For the
most part this particular newsgroup has not been overly beset by the
hateful, and it is why I found my way here. But this morning the spewing
has been over the top.

I don't understand how anyone can think they will end something they
perceive as "bad" by acting just as bad or worse.

You made a big mistake using the word Faggot here. RSB has always
been queer pool HQ and filled with faggot chinks. You set them all
off, shame on you, picking on these poor little thingies.

Wake up, you can't tell a joke or have any fun here, these ass holes
have no sense of humor.

The bozos here insist you must be politically correct which means you
can't say a GD thing and must talk in useless parables being like Bush
doing double talk.
They love to jump on you, it makes them feel good and righteous.
Under their own rug, most of them are racist as hell, they just won't

OK I get it now.... cross posting problems bring in all sorts of stuff.

The term "politically correct" is a bit old already, because most people
have figured out that humor at the expense of others who can't help what
they are, is not only not proper, but not really all that funny, by the time
they get out of grade school.

For the rest, whose minds got stuck in grade school, it is apparently still
an issue.

David there is nothing more disgusting to me than people who hate others for
things they cannot help. Homophobia, racism and anti-semitism for
example. I am a democrat and have been for almost all my adult life, and
right wing bigots annoy me too. But hatred is wrong, and if you hate the
hater, you become as bad as they are. If hatred is wrong, don't indulge in
it yourself.

Hatred has never been overcome by more hate.
Hatred is a poison of ones own mind and it rots the vessel that carries it.

I make a conscious choice to keep my mind open and to regard such attitudes
as ignorance, which is the real root cause of these bad attitudes, and thus
more deserving of compassion than of hatred.

My attitudes are mostly based on my study of buddhism, but actually most
religions don't encourage hatred of others, even those one considers as less
wise or moral than yourself.

OK, OK..... But, getting all out of shape about a McDonald's Cheeseburger
joke? My God, I was not trying to offend ANYONE; just a silly April Fool
joke and not in hatred of anyone or anything. These conschtortiated pogues
need to "chill out" ! (to use the vernacular of the streets). I think
their main problem is; they go down to Starbucks and drink a bunch of that
too-strong caffeine in the morning and that, on top of the crack they've had
the day before, ruins their whole day.

That's one thing that acutely intelligent/concerned people will always keep
in mind and that is the proper way for toilet paper to unroll !!!

To wit: --- Left Handed Toilet Paper should always unroll over the top;
NEVER should it leave the master roll from its bottem' !! Always from the
top. Remember that and you'll never go wrong.
Now, as to the direction of the roll, it can roll in the clockwise direction
or it can unroll in the counterclockwise direction; that, of course, depends
upon the orientation of the roll and the placement of the observer; makes no
difference. But just remember----------------- ALWAYS FROM THE TOP !!

That rule was established in 1940 by my Uncle (Jack Benny), and has since
become an accepted, and widely enforced, rule of polite society.

Then there's the everpresent questions that always comes up regarding the
paper's use; should a "forward" or a "backward" motion be used and is the
choice impacted by gender ? But, that's a whole different arena and I
don't have the time to address those at the moment.

You're in the clear there in Eureka, TX !!

We have ours that way now, but years ago I had a certain naughty cat that
would unwind the entire roll onto the floor if we had it roll over the top.
I solved it by reversing the roll to unwind from the bottom and spoiled his
fun, but if anyone forgot and put a new roll on the other way, he'd find it
and do his little trick again!

We had some friends had a cat that learned how to flush one of their
toilets. The cat was alone much of the day while they were at work. Their
water bill was much more than it should be. They finally set up a video
recorder and trapped the rascal. The cat was, apparently, bored and
flushed the thing repeatedly; over and over and over and over throughout the
day. They installed a shut off valve to solve the problem.

Never trust a cat.

You mean that the famous Jennifer and Jim of Internet apocrypha #1763982 are
personal friends of yours? Wow!

As in:

"Jennifer and Jim kept getting huge water bills. They knew beyond
a doubt that the bills weren't representative of their actual usage, and
no matter how they tried to conserve, the high bills continued.
Although they could see nothing wrong, they had everything checked for
leaks or problems: first the water meter, then outdoor pipes, indoor
pipes, underground pipes, faucets, toilets, washer, ice maker, etc. --
all to no avail.

One day Jim was sick and stayed home in bed, but kept hearing
water running downstairs. He finally tore himself from his sick bed to
investigate, and stumbled onto the cause of such high water bills.
Apparently this had been happening all day long when they were not at
home. Knowing that few would believe him, he taped a segment of the
'problem' for posterity -- see attached video"

which is for the moment available at http://www.xhoat.org/waterleak.wmv
(3.2MB Windows Video file).

Of course, it's also in YouTube at:

with the description:

"Gizmo the cat's toilet obsessions explored. This video was featured on Good
Morning America on August 23, 2006."

I don't mean to be picking on McDave here (except for fun), but I've seen this
sort of thing happen before, where people's brains, all by themselves, seem to
incorporate things they've heard into experiential memory.

I had two very good friends in the mid-80's. One night, after dinner at their
house, we somehow got into reading an old diary from their high school days in
the mid-sixties. In the diary, they described a group Ouija Board session in
which they had made contact with the spirit of one "Quinn the Eskimo", and went
on to relate various details of Quinn's life -- while I'm cracking up and
rolling on the floor.

Being exclusively classical music lovers, they had, of course, no memory at all
of Bob Dylan's "Quinn the Eskimo (the Mighty Quinn)", or Manfred Mann's hit
version of the song. Yet, somehow, snippets they must have overheard at high
school had become embedded in this "mystical" experience and recorded in their
diary for reading twenty years later.

We people are strange beasties indeed.

I think people repeat stories because they are good enough they *should*
be true, even if they are not. One of the eternal problems is that fact
can be difficult to tell from fiction.

The trick is to throw in a few familiar sounding details and base the
story in truth. That way people will think they vaguely remember
something about it and when the real details can be verified it lends
credance to the rest of your bullshit.

Except all MY stories are the gods honest truth and at least 50%
accurate. Like the time I won the Rolls in a pool game.

Well, over here in ASP, I think that is the idea. It should be fun ...
the stories should be good, even in not true. Over in RSB, they expect
everything to be verifyable. Here, interesting is good enough. Pool
related, of course.

Unfortunately, it seems that everything gets cross-posted anyway, so ...
